Based on Article 31 of the Criminal Code 2015 which stipulates as follows:
The penalty is not only aimed at punishing the individual or commercial legal entity committing the crime but also educating them on the awareness of complying with the law and rules of life, preventing them from committing new crimes; educating other individuals and commercial legal entities to respect the law, prevent and combat crime.
Thus, based on the above provisions, aside from punishment, the purpose of the penalty also includes education as well as prevention and combating of crime.
