How are disciplinary actions handled for embezzling assets under 2 million in the military?
Article 33 of Circular 16/2020/TT-BQP stipulates the disciplinary handling for property appropriation as follows:
- Taking advantage of position, authority or using other means to appropriate state property, property of organizations or citizens valued under 2,000,000 (two million) VND shall be disciplined from reprimand, warning to pay grade reduction, demotion of military rank.
- If violating one of the following cases, the discipline will be from demotion, dismissal, stripping of officer rank to stripping of military title, and compulsory resignation:
+ Involving others to participate;
+ Affecting the unit’s task performance.
