Foreign Organizations and Individuals: Are They Granted Permits to Establish Facilities Supporting Victims of Human Trafficking?
According to Clause 1, Article 10 of Decree No. 09/2013/ND-CP guiding the Law on Prevention and Combating Human Trafficking issued by the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam, it is stipulated as follows:
Foreign organizations and individuals are not eligible for obtaining a license to establish a support facility for human trafficking victims.
In addition to foreign organizations and individuals, Vietnamese organizations and individuals are also not granted a license to establish a support facility for human trafficking victims if they fall under any of the following cases:
- Failure to meet all the conditions stipulated in Article 4 of Decree No. 09/2013/ND-CP;
- The establishment of the support facility for victims poses a threat to national defense, national security, public order, social safety, or taking advantage of the establishment of the support facility to commit legal violations;
- Submitted documents are invalid.
The above is the response regarding the licensing for the establishment of support facilities for human trafficking victims by foreign organizations or individuals.
