Close Relatives in Criminal Proceedings: Who Are They?
Based on the provisions at Point e Clause 1 Article 4 of the 2015 Criminal Procedure Code, these individuals are defined as follows:
Relatives of participants in legal proceedings, persons authorized to conduct legal proceedings include individuals related to participants in legal proceedings, persons authorized to conduct legal proceedings such as: spouse, biological father, biological mother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, father of the wife, mother of the wife, adoptive father, adoptive mother, biological children, adopted children; paternal grandfather, paternal grandmother, maternal grandfather, maternal grandmother, biological siblings, paternal great-grandparent, maternal great-grandparent, paternal uncle/aunt, maternal uncle/aunt, biological nieces and nephews.
