Can an Inmate Take Leave During the Tet Holiday?
Regarding this matter, Clause 1, Article 28 of the Law on Execution of Criminal Judgments 2010 stipulates as follows:
Inmates are organized to work suitable to their age, health, and the requirements of management, education, and community reintegration; they are allowed to rest on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays as prescribed by law. The time inmates spend on work, study, or vocational training shall not exceed 08 hours per day. In case of emergencies or seasonal work, the prison warden may require inmates to work overtime, but not exceeding 02 hours in one day. If inmates work overtime or on Saturdays and Sundays, they are entitled to compensatory rest or remuneration in cash or in kind.
=> Therefore, according to this provision, inmates are organized to work suitable to their age, health, and the requirements of management, education, and community reintegration and are allowed to rest on public holidays.
Sincerely!
