Can an Expert Witness Participate and Interrogate?
Article 68 of the Criminal Procedure Code 2015 stipulates the provisions on expert witnesses as follows:
An expert witness is an individual with specialized knowledge in the field requiring expertise, appointed by a competent authority conducting proceedings, or requested by parties involved in the proceedings in accordance with the law.
An expert witness has the following rights:
a) To study the case materials related to the object requiring expertise;
b) To request the appointing authority or the parties involved in the proceedings to provide necessary documents for the conclusion;
c) To participate in interrogation, take testimonies, and ask questions about issues related to the object requiring expertise;

Thus, according to the regulations, an expert witness has the right to participate in interrogation and ask questions about issues related to the object requiring expertise.
