Savings Card or Bank Savings Book: Are They the Same?
According to Clause 1 Article 7 of Circular 48/2018/TT-NHNN, the regulation regarding savings certificates is as follows:
A savings certificate or a savings passbook (hereinafter referred to as a Savings Certificate) is a certificate confirming the ownership of savings deposits by the depositor at the credit institution. This is applicable in cases where savings deposits are received at legal transaction locations within the operational network of the credit institution.
=> Therefore, according to the above-mentioned regulation, although the terms savings certificate and savings passbook may differ in name, they are essentially the same.
