Payment for Instruments of Value (Promissory Notes, Treasury Bills, Certificates of Deposit, Bonds)

Based on Article 18 of Circular 01/2021/TT-NHNN, regulations on the payment of valuable papers are as follows:

- Credit institutions, foreign bank branches are responsible for fully and punctually paying the principal and interest of valuable papers to the purchasers of such papers.

- The method of payment of principal and interest of valuable papers is decided by the credit institutions, foreign bank branches in accordance with the relevant legal regulations, and must be disclosed to the purchasers of valuable papers before issuance.

- Early payment of valuable papers is decided by the credit institutions, foreign bank branches based on the request of the purchasers of valuable papers, ensuring the operational safety of the credit institutions, foreign bank branches. The interest rate applied in case of early payment of valuable papers must comply with the regulations of the State Bank.
