Objectives of the 2022 Program for Practicing Thrift and Combating Wastefulness

According to Subsection 1 Section I of the Action Program of the Banking Sector on Practicing Thrift and Combating Wastefulness in 2022, issued together with Decision No. 123/QD-NHNN in 2022, the objectives for practicing thrift and combating wastefulness in 2022 are specified as follows:

The objectives of practicing thrift and combating wastefulness (hereinafter referred to as PTW, CW) in 2022 are to implement vigorously and effectively the goals, tasks, and solutions of PTW, CW in all areas of the banking sector's activities, contributing to creating resources for implementing monetary policy management solutions and banking operations in 2022; saving costs to manage and use the state budget effectively for socio-economic development, supporting businesses and citizens, promoting growth and economic development, and preventing and overcoming the consequences of epidemics and natural disasters.

Requirements for Practicing Thrift and Combating Wastefulness in 2022

In Subsection 2 Section I of the Action Program of the Banking Sector on Practicing Thrift and Combating Wastefulness in 2022, issued together with Decision No. 123/QD-NHNN in 2022, the following requirements for practicing thrift and combating wastefulness in 2022 are specified:

- PTW, CW must adhere closely to the policies and orientations of the Communist Party and the State; closely follow the requirements, tasks, targets, and solutions outlined in the overall PTW, CW program of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) for the 2021-2025 period, issued together with Decision No. 1963/QD-NHNN dated December 8, 2021 by the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam.

- PTW, CW must be associated with the goals and tasks set out by the sector in Directive No. 01/CT-NHNN dated January 13, 2022, of the State Bank of Vietnam on organizing the implementation of key tasks of the banking sector in 2022, particularly focusing on the goals and tasks regarding monetary policy management, restructuring the system of credit institutions, promoting cashless payments and digital transformation in banking operations,...

- PTW, CW must ensure substantive, specific results, associated with evaluation and inspection as prescribed.

- PTW, CW must be linked with activities to prevent corruption, inspection, auditing, administrative reform, and restructuring the organizational apparatus for streamlined, effective, and efficient operations.

- PTW, CW must be conducted regularly, continuously, at all times, and everywhere with the participation of all officials, public employees, and workers.
