How many ways are there to get a bank statement?
At Clause 6, Article 3 of Decree 117/2018/ND-CP stipulates as follows:
Customer information of credit institutions, branches of foreign banks (hereinafter referred to as customer information) is information provided by the customer, information arising during the process of the customer requesting or being supplied banking operations, products, and services in the permitted activities by the credit institutions, branches of foreign banks, including the following: customer identification information and the following information: account information, deposit information, asset deposit information, transaction information, information about organizations, individuals who are guarantors at credit institutions, branches of foreign banks, and other related information.
The forms of requesting customer information provision include (Clause 1, Article 6 of this Decree):
- Indirect form: The request and provision of customer information are performed through the postal service providing organizations or through electronic means, telecommunications networks, and computer networks.
The request and provision of customer information through electronic means, telecommunications networks, computer networks must comply with the legal regulations on electronic transactions, the guidance of credit institutions, branches of foreign banks, and be consistent with the technical conditions of the parties;
Example: Customers use internet banking services to make requests.
- Direct form: The request and provision of customer information are performed at the headquarters of credit institutions, branches of foreign banks, and through the representatives of the parties.
