How is the Denomination of Valuable Papers Regulated?
According to Article 8 of Circular 01/2021/TT-NHNN, the denominations of securities are regulated as follows:
- The denomination of securities is 100,000 (one hundred thousand) Vietnamese Dong or multiples of 100,000 (one hundred thousand) Vietnamese Dong.
- The denomination of securities (excluding bonds) issued in the form of certificates is pre-printed or agreed upon by the issuing credit institutions or foreign bank branches and the purchasers.
- The denomination of bonds issued in the form of certificates is pre-printed on the bonds.
- The denomination of securities issued not in the form of certificates is agreed upon by the issuing credit institutions or foreign bank branches and the purchasers.
