General Requirements for IT Equipment Installation in Banking Operations

According to Article 17 of Circular 09/2020/TT-NHNN (Effective from January 1, 2021), the general requirements for locations installing information technology equipment are stipulated as follows:

- Protected by walls, entry gates, or other measures to control and limit the risk of unauthorized intrusion.

- Implement measures to prevent risks from fire, explosion, and flooding.

- Areas with high safety and security requirements, such as locations for installing servers, storage devices, security devices, and communication devices of information systems from level 3 upwards, must be isolated from shared, distribution, and delivery areas; issue internal regulations, work guidelines, and apply measures to control access to those areas.
