Do Foreign Bank Branches Have Legal Entity Status?
Pursuant to Clause 9, Article 4 of the Law on Credit Institutions 2010, the provisions on the above content are as follows:
A foreign bank branch is a dependent unit of a foreign bank, without legal person status, and is guaranteed by the foreign bank to be responsible for all obligations and commitments of the branch in Vietnam.
Thus, according to the above regulation, a foreign bank branch does not have legal person status.
