Can the Director of a Branch of a Foreign Bank Participate in the Management and Operation of Another Credit Institution?
Based on Clause 3, Article 89 of the Law on Credit Institutions 2010, the regulations are as follows:
The General Director (Director) of a foreign bank branch is not allowed to participate in the management or operations of other credit institutions or economic organizations and is also not allowed to concurrently serve as the Head of the representative office in Vietnam of a foreign bank.
Hence, according to the above regulation, the Director of a foreign bank branch is not allowed to participate in the management or operations of other credit institutions.
