Based on Article 3 of Circular 189/2016/TT-BTC, the regulation is as follows:
Gross Tonnage (GT) is the maximum overall volume of a ship recorded in the certificate issued by the registration authority in accordance with regulations.

Based on Appendix issued together with the Circular 189/2016/TT-BTC, the regulations on fee and charge schedule in maritime activities in Vietnam are as follows:
