Reduction of Fees for Chip-Embedded Citizen Identity Cards Before June 30?
According to Article 1 of Circular 112/2020/TT-BTC, the regulations are as follows:

Thus, from January 1, 2021, to June 30, 2021, the fee for issuing chip-based Citizen Identification Cards is equal to 50% of the fee collection rate stipulated in Article 4 of Circular 59/2019/TT-BTC.
Therefore, the fee for issuing chip-based Citizen Identification Cards from now until June 30, 2021, is calculated as follows:
- Converting from a 9-digit or 12-digit ID card to a chip-based Citizen Identification Card fee: 15,000 VND/card
- Reissuing a Citizen Identification Card when damaged beyond use; changing information regarding surname, middle name, given name; physical characteristics; re-confirming gender, place of residence; errors in the card's information; upon citizen's request: 25,000 VND/card
- Reissuing a chip-based Citizen Identification Card when losing the card, regaining Vietnamese nationality according to the regulations of the Law on Vietnamese Nationality fee: 35,000 VND/card.
