Permanent Residence Registration Fees for the Year 2021
Based on Clause 1, Article 3 of Circular 85/2019/TT-BTC, the fee for residence registration (for activities carried out by local authorities) is a fee under the decision-making authority of the Provincial People's Council.
And according to Point a, Clause 2, Article 5 of this Circular:
Based on the socio-economic conditions of the locality where the service provision, fee, and charge collection activities arise, the Provincial People's Council shall stipulate appropriate fee and charge rates.
For the fees: The residence registration fee is the fee collected from individuals registering their residence with the residence registration and management agency in accordance with the residence law.
- The residence registration fee for registration and residence management includes: Permanent residence registration, temporary residence registration for an entire household or an individual without issuing a household registration book, temporary residence book; new issuance, reissuance, replacement of household registration book; temporary residence book for household, individual; adjustment of changes in the household registration book, temporary residence book; extension of temporary residence.
- Based on the actual conditions of the locality to stipulate the appropriate fee rates, ensuring the following principle: The fee rate for residence registration in districts of centrally governed cities or inner-city wards of the city shall be higher than the fee rate for other areas.
=> Thus, the permanent residence registration fee in each province is different and is determined by that Provincial People's Council based on the actual conditions of the locality.
