Monthly Party Membership Fee Rates for Party Members

I am currently working for a company and have just been admitted to the Communist Party. I heard that being in the Communist Party requires a monthly Party fee. In my case, what is the monthly Party fee that I need to pay?

Paying party dues is a responsibility of Communist Party members according to the regulations of the Party Charter. It is a principled issue with significant political importance. The basis for calculating party dues for members is their monthly income.

According to the Regulation on party dues policies issued with Decision 342-QD/TW in 2010 by the Politburo, the monthly party dues for members corresponding to each specific category are as follows:

- Communist Party members in administrative agencies, political organizations, political-social organizations, armed forces units: pay monthly party dues at 1% of salary, allowances, wages, and living expenses.

- Communist Party members receiving social insurance salaries: pay monthly party dues at 0.5% of the social insurance salary.

- Communist Party members working in enterprises, public service providers, economic organizations: pay monthly party dues at 1% of salary, wages, and other income from the salary fund of the unit.

- Other Communist Party members in the country (including agricultural, rural members, student members, etc.): pay party dues from 2,000 VND to 30,000 VND/month. For members outside the working age, the dues are 50% of that of members within the working age.

- Communist Party members living, studying, working abroad:

+ Members working at Vietnamese representative offices abroad; students studying under agreements sponsored by foreign countries or funded from the state budget pay party dues at 1% of monthly living expenses.

+ Members studying abroad at their own expense; members in labor export; members following family, members involved in free enterprise, pay monthly dues from 2 to 5 USD.

+ Members who are owners or co-owners of businesses, commercial zones, service shops, pay a minimum monthly due of 10 USD.

Therefore: Based on the regulations cited above, Communist Party members working in enterprises pay monthly party dues at 1% of salary, wages, and other income from the salary fund of the unit.

Thus: If you are currently working for an enterprise and have just been admitted to the Communist Party, you are obliged to pay monthly party dues at 1% of salary, wages, and other income from the salary fund of the unit.

Example: Your total salary and salary-based allowances (other income from the company's salary fund) at the company are: 8,000,000 VND.

Therefore, you are obliged to pay a monthly party due of 80,000 VND.

Above is our advisory opinion on the issue you are inquiring about.

Sincerely!
