When the Board of Judges Enters the Courtroom, Must Everyone Stand Up?
Section 3, Article 256 of the 2015 Criminal Procedure Code stipulates the courtroom rules in criminal trials as follows:
Everyone in the courtroom must stand when the Trial Council enters the courtroom and when the judgment is pronounced. The defendant must stand when the Prosecutor announces the indictment or the prosecution decision. Persons summoned by the Court who wish to present their opinions must be approved by the presiding judge; individuals presenting opinions must stand when presenting their opinions and when being questioned.
Persons with health reasons may be allowed by the presiding judge to sit.
Not everyone is required to stand when the Trial Council enters the courtroom. In cases of health reasons, individuals may be permitted by the presiding judge to sit.
Sincerely!
