Understanding Forensic Appraisal
Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 1 of the amended Law on Judicial Expertise 2020 (effective from January 1, 2021), judicial expertise is defined as follows:
Judicial expertise is the act of a judicial expert utilizing scientific, technical knowledge, equipment, and methods to conclude on professional matters related to activities of prosecution initiation, investigation, prosecution, trial, criminal judgement execution, and resolution of civil cases, administrative cases as requested by competent procedural authorities, competent procedural persons, or as per the request of the requester according to the provisions of this Law.
The above is the definition of judicial expertise under the new regulations.
