Principles of Ensuring Community Reintegration for Prisoners
According to Article 3 of Decree 49/2020/ND-CP (effective from June 15, 2020), there are three principles to ensure reintegration into the community, which are:
Implement in accordance with this Decree and other relevant legal provisions; ensure the participation of agencies, organizations, individuals, and families in the implementation of measures to ensure community reintegration.
Facilitate the reintegration of those who have completed their prison sentences into the community, stabilize their lives, and prevent recidivism and legal violations.
Strictly prohibit all acts of discrimination, stigmatization, or infringement on the legal rights and interests of inmates and those who have completed their prison sentences.
