Lawyers Do Not Need to Present Identity Cards When Registering for Defense?
Pursuant to Clause 2a, Article 78 of the 2015 Criminal Procedure Code, the provisions are as follows: When registering for defense, the defense lawyer must present the following documents:
+ The lawyer must present the Lawyer's Card along with a certified copy and a lawyer request letter from the accused or from the accused's representative or relative;
+ The representative of the accused must present their Identity Card or Citizen Identification Card along with a certified copy and documents confirming their relationship with the accused authorized by a competent authority.
Thus, when registering for the defense of the defendant, the lawyer does not need to present an identity card but only needs to present the Lawyer's Card along with a certified copy and a lawyer request letter from the accused in the abovementioned case.
Respectfully!
