Is Addiction Treatment Allowed in Prisons?

According to Clause 4, Article 55 of the Law on Execution of Criminal Judgments 2019, one of the medical care policies for inmates is stipulated as follows:

Drug-addicted inmates will undergo rehabilitation organized by the prison.

According to this provision, your child will undergo drug rehabilitation organized by the prison.

In addition, Clause 5 of this Article also stipulates:

The expenses for medical examination, treatment, drug rehabilitation, and the construction and arrangement of medical treatment rooms for inmates at medical examination and treatment facilities shall be covered by the State.

Therefore, your child will undergo rehabilitation in the prison. The expenses for drug rehabilitation are covered by the State, so your family will not have to bear the costs of organizing drug rehabilitation for your child.
