How many times can a sentenced person have their penalty reduced?
According to Clause 2 Article 63 of the 2015 Criminal Code, it is stipulated as follows:
An individual may be granted multiple sentence reductions, but it must ensure that at least half of the sentence handed down has been served.
A person sentenced to life imprisonment may have their sentence reduced to 30 years for the first time, and even if granted multiple reductions, he/she must ensure that the actual time of serving the sentence is 20 years.
Thus, the convicted person may be granted multiple sentence reductions. However, it must ensure that at least half of the sentence handed down has been served.
Note: In cases where a person is sentenced to life imprisonment, even if granted multiple reductions, he/she must ensure that the actual time of serving the sentence is 20 years.
Sincerely!
