How is Forensic Assessment Understood?
Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 1 of the 2020 amended Law on Judicial Assessment (effective from January 1, 2021), the following provisions are stipulated:
Judicial assessment is the process in which judicial examiners utilize knowledge, means, scientific methods, technical skills, and professional expertise to make specialized conclusions on matters related to prosecution, investigation, indictment, trial, and enforcement of criminal sentences, as well as the resolution of civil cases and administrative disputes as requested by competent procedural authorities, authorized individuals, or upon the demand of the requester for assessment, in accordance with this Law.
The above is the definition of judicial assessment as stipulated by law.
