Eligibility for Divorce Extension
In Clause 1, Article 199 of the Civil Procedure Code 2015, it is stipulated:
Within 15 days from the date of receipt of the notice, the defendant and any person with related rights and obligations must submit to the Court a written statement of their opinions regarding the plaintiff's request and accompanying documents, evidence, counterclaim, and independent request (if any).
In case an extension is needed, the defendant and any person with related rights and obligations must submit a request for extension to the Court, clearly stating the reasons; if the request for extension is justified, the Court must grant an extension but not exceeding 15 days.
=> In your case, due to being too busy with work and unable to arrange to attend, as soon as you receive the notification from the Court, you must submit a request for extension to the Court, clearly stating the reasons. If it is justified and the extension is granted, you will be allowed an extension to resolve the divorce, but not exceeding 15 days.
The above is the content of the consultation.
Sincerely!
