Do Whistleblowers Have the Right to Keep Their Personal Information Confidential When Making a Complaint?

I would like to file a complaint against someone in the local commune government agency. However, will my personal information be kept confidential when I file the complaint? I am afraid it might affect my family.

Based on Clause 1b Article 9 of the 2018 Law on Denunciations, the rights of the whistleblower are stipulated as follows:

  1. The whistleblower has the following rights:

a) To exercise the right to denounce as prescribed by this Law;

b) To have their name, address, handwriting, and other personal information kept confidential.

Thus, when the whistleblower approaches the competent authority to make a denunciation, their name, address, handwriting, and other personal information will be kept confidential.

Sincerely!
