Do Whistleblowers Have the Right to Keep Their Personal Information Confidential When Making a Complaint?
Based on Clause 1b Article 9 of the 2018 Law on Denunciations, the rights of the whistleblower are stipulated as follows:
- The whistleblower has the following rights:
a) To exercise the right to denounce as prescribed by this Law;
b) To have their name, address, handwriting, and other personal information kept confidential.
Thus, when the whistleblower approaches the competent authority to make a denunciation, their name, address, handwriting, and other personal information will be kept confidential.
