Detailed Regulations on Temporary Detention Houses
Based on Clause 1, Article 14 of the Law on Temporary Detention and Custody 2015, it is stipulated:
- The temporary detention house is organized as follows:
a) The temporary detention house has detention rooms, custody rooms, disciplinary rooms, and prisoner management rooms; facilities serving the management of detention, criminal procedural activities. Depending on the scale of detention, the temporary detention house may have facilities for living, medical care, education for detainees, inmates, and execution of prison sentences; and facilities for working and living activities of officers, professional military personnel, non-commissioned officers, soldiers, workers, and public employees working at the temporary detention house;
b) The organizational structure of the temporary detention house in the People's Public Security includes the Head of the temporary detention house, the Deputy Head of the temporary detention house, officers, non-commissioned officers, soldiers, workers, and public employees performing tasks related to management, reconnaissance, protection, judicial assistance, general advisory, logistics, technical, education, medical, and record-keeping;
c) The organizational structure of the temporary detention house of the regional criminal investigation agency in the People's Army includes the Head of the temporary detention house, the Deputy Head of the temporary detention house, officers, professional military personnel, non-commissioned officers, soldiers, workers, and public employees of defense performing tasks related to management, reconnaissance, protection, judicial assistance, general advisory, logistics, technical, education, medical, and record-keeping;
d) The Head and Deputy Head of the temporary detention house must hold a university degree in police, security, or a bachelor's degree in law or higher and must meet other standards as stipulated by the Government of Vietnam.
