Which hospital is deemed appropriate for emergency treatment?
Section 4, Article 11 of Circular 40/2015/TT-BYT stipulates the cases in which emergency treatment is regarded as in compliance with the designated health insurance examination and treatment facilities as follows:
- Patients are to receive emergency treatment at any medical examination and treatment facility. The admitting doctor or physician evaluates and determines the emergency status and records it in the medical file or patient record.
- After the emergency treatment phase, the patient may be transferred to inpatient treatment at the medical examination and treatment facility where they were initially admitted for emergency treatment, or transferred to another medical examination and treatment facility for continued treatment based on professional requirements, or returned to their initial registered medical examination and treatment facility after stabilization.
Therefore, your mother being admitted for emergency treatment at any hospital, with the attending doctor evaluating and determining the emergency status and recording it in the medical file or patient record; and after the emergency treatment phase, being transferred to inpatient treatment according to the aforementioned regulation, is considered in compliance with the designated facility.
Respectfully!
