What documents must a kidney donor waiting for reissuance of the health insurance card present when seeking medical examination?
Section 4, Article 15 of Decree 146/2018/ND-CP prescribes the medical examination and treatment procedures under health insurance for individuals who have donated body parts as follows:
Individuals who have donated body parts and are seeking medical examination and treatment must present the documents stipulated in Section 1 or Section 3 of this Article. In cases where immediate treatment is required after donation, the head of the medical examination and treatment facility where the body part was taken and the patient or the patient's relatives must sign a confirmation in the medical records to serve as a basis for payment according to the provisions of Section 2, Article 27 of this Decree and take responsibility for this confirmation.
Section 3 of this Article prescribes as follows:
Participants of health insurance who are in the process of waiting for reissuance or exchange of their health insurance cards, when seeking medical examination and treatment, must present the appointment slip for reissuance or exchange of the health insurance card issued by the social insurance agency or organization, or individuals authorized by the social insurance agency to receive the application for reissuance or exchange, as per Form No. 4 Appendix issued with this Decree, along with a type of document proving their identity.
Thus, individuals who have donated kidneys and are waiting for the reissuance of their health insurance card, when seeking medical examination and treatment, must present:
