What are duties of a sports instructor in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Clause 1 Article 7 of the Circular 07/2022/TT-BVHTTDL (effective from 10/12/2022) stipulating duties of a sports instructor in Vietnam as follows:

a) Develop programs, plans, contents and guiding documents for physical training and sports activities suitable to each type of practitioner;

b) Directly propagate and mobilize people to participate in physical training and sports activities; guide physical training, competition and sports performance according to the correct method;

c) Ensure safety for people practicing physical training, competing and performing sports;

d) Participate in organizing physical training and sports activities in local festivals and festivals;

dd) Detecte sports talent to introduce to physical training and sports units and athletes training institutions.

What are standards on training and fostering qualifications of sports instructors in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Clause 2 Article 7 of the Circular 07/2022/TT-BVHTTDL (effective from 10/12/2022) stipulating standards on training and fostering qualifications of sports instructors in Vietnam as follows:

Graduated from high school and above. If he/she has an intermediate or higher diploma in another major, he/she must have a certificate of training in standards for professional titles of public employees in physical training and sports.

What are standards of competence and professional qualifications of sports instructors in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Clause 3 Article 7 of the Circular 07/2022/TT-BVHTTDL (effective from 10/12/2022) stipulating standards of competence and professional qualifications of sports instructors in Vietnam as follows:

a) Understand the guidelines and guidelines of the Party, policies and laws of the State and the industry on the development of mass sports and physical training;

b) Have knowledge about contents and methods of mobilizing people to participate in physical training and sports practice;

c) Have knowledge of principles and methods of physical education, basic techniques and tactics, competition rules, and methods of organization and competition of the sport; guide physical training, sports competitions and performances;

d) Have knowledge about medicine, nutrition and hygiene and safety in physical training and sports activities.

How to arrange salaries for sports public employees in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Article 9 of the Circular 07/2022/TT-BVHTTDL (effective from 10/12/2022) stipulating arrangement of salaries for sports public employees in Vietnam as follows:

1. The professional titles of public employees specialized in physical training and sports specified in this Circular may apply the professional salary table for officials and public employees in the State's non-business units (Table 3) issued together with the Government's Decree No. 204/2004/ND-CP dated December 14, 2004 on the salary regime for cadres, civil servants, public employees and the armed forces, specifically as follows:

a) The professional title of senior coach (class I) is entitled to the salary coefficient of the A3 and group 1 (A3.1) public employees, from the salary coefficient 6.2 to the salary coefficient 8.0;

b) The professional title of main trainer (class II) is entitled to the salary coefficient of the A2 and group 1 (A2.1) public employees, from the salary coefficient 4.4 to the salary coefficient 6.78;

c) The professional title of coach (class III) is entitled to the salary coefficient of the A1 public employee, from the salary coefficient 2.34 to the salary coefficient 4.98;

d) The professional title of tour guide (class IV) is entitled to the salary coefficient of a grade B public employee, from a salary coefficient of 1.86 to a salary coefficient of 4.06.

2. After the probationary period has expired as prescribed and the competent authority managing public employees decides to appoint the professional title of the public servant specialized in physical training and sports, the salary grade shall be ranked according to the professional title as follows:

a) In case a public employee, when recruiting, has a doctoral training degree suitable to his/her job position and is appointed to the professional title of trainer (class III): rank 3, salary coefficient 3.00 (class A1 officer);

b) In case the public employee, when recruiting, has a master's degree in accordance with the job position, and is appointed to the professional title of trainer (class III): rank 2, salary coefficient 2.67 (class A1 officer);

c) In case the public employee, when recruiting, has a university training degree suitable to the job position and is appointed to the professional title of trainer (class III) ranked 1st, salary coefficient 2.34 ( Class A1 officer);

d) In case a public employee, when recruiting, has a college degree suitable for the job position and is appointed to the professional title of tour guide (class IV): rank 2, salary coefficient 2.06 (class B official);

dd) In case a public employee, when recruiting, has an intermediate training degree suitable to the job position and is appointed to the professional title of tour guide (class IV): rank 1, salary coefficient 1.86 (class B official).

3. The change of salary arrangement for public employees from the professional title currently held to the professional title of a sports officer specified in this Circular shall comply with the guidance in Section II of Circular No. 02/2007/TT-BNV dated May 25, 2007 of the Minister of Home Affairs guiding salary grading when raising ranks, changing ranks, and changing types of civil servants and public employees.
