Using a Student ID Card for Medical Services When the National ID Card is Lost
According to Clause 1, Article 15 of Decree 146/2018/ND-CP regulating procedures for medical examination and treatment under health insurance
Participants in health insurance, when going for medical examination and treatment, must present a health insurance card with a photo; in cases where the health insurance card does not have a photo, they must present one of the following photo identification documents issued by competent authorities or organizations: a Confirmation Letter from the Commune Police or other documents certified by the educational institution managing students; other legally valid identification documents.
Therefore, in cases where the health insurance card does not have a photo, it is allowable to present a photo identification document issued by an authority or organization. Accordingly, you can present a student card along with the health insurance card for medical examination and treatment.
