Traditional methods of processing traditional herbal medicines: An explanation

Pursuant to the provisions of Clause 1, Article 2 of Circular 30/2017/TT-BYT on guidelines for processing traditional medicinal herbs issued by the Minister of Health, processing traditional medicinal herbs by traditional methods is as follows:
Processing traditional medicinal herbs by traditional methods is the process of altering the quality and quantity of the raw materials into medicinal herbs processed according to the theories and methods of traditional medicine or based on folk experience (commonly referred to as the principles of traditional medicine).
Furthermore, this Article also provides definitions for related concepts as follows:
- Preliminary processing involves operations such as soaking, fermenting, washing, drying, and slicing.
- Slicing is the process of dividing the raw materials into reasonable sizes.
