Responsible Person in Charge of Pharmaceutical Expertise at the Pharmacy Must Hold a Pharmacist Degree
Pursuant to Clause 2, Article 18 of the Law on Pharmacy 2016 stipulates:
The person responsible for professional pharmaceutical matters at a pharmacy must possess one of the professional degrees specified in Points a, e, or g, Clause 1, Article 13 of this Law and have 18 months of professional practice at an appropriate pharmaceutical establishment.
Points a, e, and g, Clause 1, Article 13 of this Law stipulate the following professional degrees:
- University degree in pharmacy (hereinafter referred to as a Pharmacy degree);
- College degree in pharmacy;
- Intermediate degree in pharmacy.
It can be seen that the person responsible for professional pharmaceutical matters at a pharmacy is not necessarily required to have a Pharmacy degree. If they do not have a Pharmacy degree, they must have a college degree in pharmacy or an intermediate degree in pharmacy.
