Kidney Stones on Both Sides: Eligibility for Military Service?
Based on Appendix 1 Classification of health by physical condition and diseases issued with Joint Circular 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP, it is prescribed:
- Kidney stones without complications:
+ Only on one side, operated with good results for over one year: Score 4
+ Not operated or stones on both sides: Score 5
According to the provisions of Clause 4, Article 9 of Joint Circular 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP, the classification of citizens' health participating in military service health examination is based on scores assigned to 8 criteria recorded in the military service health examination form. To be specific:
- Category 1: All 8 criteria achieve score 1;
- Category 2: At least 1 criterion scores 2;
- Category 3: At least 1 criterion scores 3;
- Category 4: At least 1 criterion scores 4;
- Category 5: At least 1 criterion scores 5;
- Category 6: At least 1 criterion scores 6.
Thus, your case with both kidney stones already falls under health category 05.
And Point a, Clause 3, Article 4 of Circular 148/2018/TT-BQP stipulates the health standards for military recruitment as follows:
Select citizens with health categorized as 1, 2, 3 according to the provisions of Joint Circular 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP dated June 30, 2016, of the Minister of Health - Minister of National Defense, stipulating the health examination for military service.
From the above regulations, your case does not meet the health conditions to participate in military service.
