Is it permissible to open a pharmacy in rural areas with a secondary-level pharmacy diploma?
At Point d, Clause 1, Article 33 of the 2016 Law on Pharmacy stipulates that private pharmacies must have a location, storage area, storage equipment, technical documentation, and personnel that meet the Good Practice Standards for retail pharmacies; for pharmacies specializing in retailing medicinal herbs, herbal medicines, and traditional medicines, they must comply with the provisions at Point b, Clause 2, Article 69 of the 2016 Law on Pharmacy.
- According to the provisions at Clause 2, Article 33 and Clause 1, Article 18 of the 2016 Law on Pharmacy, the person responsible for pharmacy expertise at the pharmacy must:
+ Have one of the following professional degrees:
++ A bachelor's degree in pharmacy (hereafter referred to as a pharmacist's degree)
++ An associate degree in pharmacy
++ A vocational degree in pharmacy;
+ Have 18 months of professional practice at a suitable pharmaceutical establishment.
Thus, if your wife has a vocational degree in pharmacy, she can open a pharmacy without restrictions on whether it is in rural or urban areas.
Respectfully!
