Is It Permissible to Hire a Pharmacist Without a Practicing Certificate?
Based on Article 11 of the Pharmaceutical Law 2016 which stipulates positions requiring a pharmacy practice certificate. To be specific:
Persons responsible for the professional aspects of a pharmaceutical business establishment.
Persons responsible for quality assurance of a drug manufacturing establishment, including drug ingredients.
Persons responsible for clinical pharmacy activities at medical examination and treatment establishments.
According to this regulation, only the person responsible for the professional aspects of a pharmaceutical business establishment is required to have a pharmacy practice certificate. Since your store already has a person responsible for the professional aspects of the pharmacy, the individual you wish to hire to work at your store is not necessarily required to possess a pharmacy practice certificate.
Sincerely!
