Is a 15-year-old eligible for a health check-up to apply for a job?
According to Clause 2, Article 1 of Circular 14/2013/TT-BYT, the regulations are as follows:
a) Vietnamese citizens and foreigners living and working in Vietnam must undergo health check-ups upon recruitment, periodic health check-ups, and health check-ups when entering universities, colleges, professional secondary schools, vocational schools, and other related subjects;
b) Health check-ups for Vietnamese workers who go to work abroad under contract.
Simultaneously, Clause 2, Article 4 of this Circular also stipulates that the Health Check-Up Dossier for persons under 18 years old includes a Health Check-Up Certificate according to the form prescribed in Appendix 2 issued with this Circular, with a 04cm x 06cm portrait photo taken on a white background within 06 months up to the date of submission of the Health Check-Up Dossier.
Therefore, in your case of being 15 years old, you can still undergo a health check-up. However, since you are only 15 years old, you cannot work at a cafe.
