Interval Between Two Voluntary Blood Donations and Benefits of Voluntary Blood Donors
1. How long is the interval between two voluntary blood donations?
Based on Article 6 of Circular 26/2013/TT-BYT, regulations regarding the minimum interval between blood donations and blood component donations are as follows:
1. The minimum interval between two consecutive whole blood or red cell apheresis donations is 12 weeks.
The minimum interval between two consecutive plasma or platelet apheresis donations is 02 weeks.
Neutrophil apheresis or peripheral blood stem cell apheresis donations should not exceed three times within 07 days.
In the case of alternating between whole blood donations and other blood component donations by the same donor, the minimum interval will be considered based on the type of blood component donated in the most recent donation.
Thus, according to the above regulations, the minimum interval between two blood donations is 12 weeks. This means that after donating blood, you must wait at least 12 weeks before you can donate again.
2. What benefits do voluntary blood donors receive?
Article 12 of Circular 26/2013/TT-BYT stipulates the benefits of blood donors as follows:

To be explained about the blood collection process, possible unwanted incidents, and the tests to be performed before and after blood donation.

To be cared for and treated when unwanted incidents occur during and after blood donation according to Appendix 4 issued with this Circular. To be supported with the costs of care and treatment when unwanted incidents occur during and after blood donation. The funding for supporting the care and treatment of blood donors as mentioned in this clause shall be implemented according to the provisions of the law.

Blood donors will receive the benefits as stipulated above.
Respectfully!
