How to Quarantine After Receiving the First Dose of the Covid-19 Vaccine Upon Returning to Hometown?

Based on Section 1 of Official Dispatch 6386/BYT-MT in 2021 on the application of measures to prevent and control the epidemic for people coming from areas with COVID-19 as guided below:

For those coming/returning from areas with COVID-19 (updated regularly on the Ministry of Health's website at https://moh.gov.vn/dia-diem-cach-ly):

Individuals who have not been vaccinated or have not received the full dose of the COVID-19 vaccine:

Perform medical quarantine at home or place of residence for 14 days from the day of arrival/return to the locality, and continue to self-monitor health for the next 14 days. Conduct testing 3 times on the first day, the 7th day, and the 14th day during the medical quarantine at home or place of residence. In case of a positive test result for SARS-COV-2, handle according to regulations.

Note: For those returning from provinces, cities, and areas implementing social distancing according to Directive 16/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam:

- Request residents not to move from their province or city of residence to another locality until the end of the social distancing period according to Official Telegram 1063/CD-TTg dated July 31, 2021, of the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam.

- For special cases permitted by local authorities to move to another locality: implement epidemic prevention and control measures as stipulated in Section 1 of this Official Dispatch.
