Holding a Pharmacy College Degree: Eligibility to Serve as the Responsible Pharmacist of a Pharmacy or Drug Counter
Sections 1 and 2 of Article 18 of the 2016 Law on Pharmacy stipulate:
The person responsible for the professional expertise in pharmacy of the pharmacy must have the professional qualification as specified in Point a, Clause 1, Article 13 of this Law and have 02 years of professional practice at an appropriate pharmaceutical establishment. The person responsible for the professional expertise in pharmacy of the pharmacy may also concurrently be the person engaged in clinical pharmacy work at the pharmacy.
To be specific: The person responsible for the professional expertise in pharmacy of the pharmacy must have a university degree in pharmacy (hereinafter referred to as a Bachelor's in Pharmacy).
The person responsible for the professional expertise in pharmacy of the drugstore must have one of the professional qualifications stipulated in Points a, e, or g, Clause 1, Article 13 of this Law and have 18 months of professional practice at an appropriate pharmaceutical establishment.
To be specific: The person responsible for the professional expertise in pharmacy of the drugstore must have one of the following three qualifications:
+ A university degree in pharmacy (hereinafter referred to as a Bachelor's in Pharmacy);
+ A college degree in pharmacy;
+ An intermediate degree in pharmacy;
Thus, based on the regulations, having a college degree in pharmacy will meet the qualification requirements for the person responsible for the professional expertise in pharmacy of the drugstore. For a pharmacy, the person must have a university degree in pharmacy (hereinafter referred to as a Bachelor's in Pharmacy); a college degree in pharmacy does not meet the requirements.
