Functions of the District Medical Center as stipulated
The functions of the District-Level Health Center are specified in Article 3 of Circular 07/2021/TT-BYT (effective from July 5, 2021). To be specific:
- The District-Level Health Center has the function of providing professional and technical services in preventive health, medical examination, treatment, rehabilitation, food safety, population and other health services as prescribed by law.
- For district-level administrative units that have a General Hospital of Grade II or higher located in the area, the District-Level Health Center still performs the function of medical examination and treatment to provide outpatient medical examination and treatment services, screening, consultation, and other health services as prescribed by law, and manages the operations of commune health stations, ward, commune-level town, regional polyclinic (if any) in the area.
