Does the Addition of Professional Activities in the Medical Practice Certificate Require Reconfirmation of the Practice Duration?
Regarding this issue, the editorial board would like to discuss as follows:
Pursuant to Article 24 of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment 2009 and Clause 2, Article 11 of Decree 155/2018/ND-CP, in the event that you have been granted a practicing certificate with the scope of professional activities in anesthesiology and resuscitation, and have had sufficient 18 months of practice at a hospital in the field of anesthesiology and resuscitation, and have additionally obtained a specialized orientation certificate in otolaryngology, you are allowed to supplement the scope of professional activities in your medical practice certificate without having to undergo additional practice confirmation as prescribed by law.
The dossier for supplementing professional activities is carried out in accordance with Clause 2, Article 11 of Decree 155/2018/ND-CP, including:
- An application form for supplementing the scope of professional activities in the practicing certificate as per Sample 05 in Appendix I issued together with this Decree;
- A valid copy of the issued practicing certificate;
- A valid copy of diplomas, certificates, or training certificates issued by legitimate training institutions with a minimum training duration of 6 months suitable to the scope of professional activities requested to be supplemented.
The above is our consultation on the issue you are concerned about.
Sincerely!
