Current Measures for Malaria Prevention
Based on Section I of the Guidance on Surveillance and Prevention of Malaria (Promulgated with Decision 4922/QD-BYT in 2021) specified as follows:
Disease Prevention: There is currently no vaccine for disease prevention. The current measures focus on eliminating and preventing mosquito bites through: Indoor residual spraying; sleeping under chemically treated nets or hammocks; using mosquito repellent measures. Additionally, environmental sanitation measures and biological methods are combined to kill mosquitoes and mosquito larvae. Early detection, treatment to kill gametocytes, and radical cure of malaria cases with primaquine to reduce the source of infection.
The above are the main measures to prevent malaria, with special attention to combining environmental sanitation of the surrounding living environment to reduce the habitat of mosquitoes, which are the agents causing the disease.
Respectfully!
