Collection and Processing of Information According to Disinfection Procedures at Passenger Terminals in Disease Prevention - What are the Regulations?

Please tell me, how are the regulations on collecting and processing information on the disinfection procedure for passenger terminals implemented?

1. Collection and Processing of Information on the Passenger Terminal Disinfection Process

Pursuant to Section 1, Chapter III of the Guidance on Disinfection of Airport Areas and Aircraft in Infectious Disease Prevention and Control (issued under Decision 5789/QD-BYT in 2021 by the Ministry of Health), regulations on collecting and processing information on the passenger terminal disinfection process are as follows:

+ Collect information from competent and responsible authorities at the airport, airlines, etc., or through inspections, supervision, and quarantine officers conducting checks and verifying areas at risk of infection that need to be treated.

+ Identify the areas and subjects that need disinfection, appropriate chemicals to use, and disinfection methods; pay attention to high-risk infection areas: check-in areas, aviation security screening and inspection areas, immigration and customs procedures areas, aircraft boarding waiting areas, health quarantine procedures areas, escalators, elevators, handrails in public areas within the terminal, restrooms, baby changing areas, baggage carts and collection points, waiting seats before security checks and in restricted zones for boarding, etc.

2. Preparation for the Passenger Terminal Disinfection Process

Pursuant to Section 2, Chapter III of the Guidance on Disinfection of Airport Areas and Aircraft in Infectious Disease Prevention and Control (issued under Decision 5789/QD-BYT in 2021 by the Ministry of Health), the regulations on the preparation for the passenger terminal disinfection process are as follows:

+ Notify relevant competent agencies, units, and individuals (aviation authorities, airports, airport-operating enterprises, airlines, ground service units, etc.) to coordinate ensuring safety for people and equipment that may be affected during the disinfection process.

+ Deploy medical personnel according to actual needs and professional requirements.

+ Provide personal protective equipment (including clothes, glasses, hats, masks, gloves, boots), soap, disinfectant solutions (60-80% alcohol concentration for hand hygiene and at least 70% alcohol concentration for equipment sanitation) and necessary equipment and tools.

+ Supply equipment and chemicals suitable for disinfection devices.

+ Use bins and bags for disposing of waste.

+ Provide means for transporting equipment, tools, chemicals, and infectious waste according to biosafety regulations.

Respectfully!
