Certificates in Pharmacy Issued Before 2017: What is the Duration of Continuing Education Updates?
Section 2, Article 29 of the 2016 Law on Pharmacy stipulates:
The pharmaceutical practice certificate shall become invalid when the practitioner dies or goes missing according to the decision or judgment of the court or does not have a confirmation paper of completing training or updating professional pharmaceutical knowledge within 03 years from the date of issuance of the pharmaceutical practice certificate or from the date of the most recent confirmation paper of completing training or updating professional pharmaceutical knowledge.
According to Section 3, Article 115 of the 2016 Law on Pharmacy:
For those who have been issued a pharmaceutical practice certificate before the effective date of this Law, the deadline for updating professional knowledge is counted from the date this Law takes effect (January 1, 2017).
Thus, for those who have been issued a pharmaceutical practice certificate before the effective date of the Law on Pharmacy, the deadline for completing the training program, updating professional pharmaceutical knowledge is up to January 1, 2020.
