I have a snack shop in the park. Recently, a customer has asked me if I sell alcoholic beverages or not. Can I sell alcoholic beverages in the park to serve guests in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Article 19 of the Law on Prevention and Control of Harmful Effects of Alcoholic Beverages 2019, there are regulations on places where the sale of alcoholic beverages is not allowed, including:
1. Health facilities.
2. Educational institutions.
3. Nursing care centers and recreational centers for minors.
4. Rehabilitation centers, compulsory educational institutions, reform schools, prisons and other retention facilities.
5. Social protection centers.
6. Workplaces of regulatory authorities, political organizations, socio-political organizations, socio-political-professional organizations and public service providers, except for places where the trade in alcoholic beverages is allowed.
As such, there is no rule prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages in the park in Vietnam. So you can sell alcoholic beverages in the park. However, drinking alcoholic beverages in the park is prohibited by law. So you are sold but the buyer is not used.
