According to Article 5 of Decree 36/2019/ND-CP on ensuring cultural and political education:

  1. Athletes currently studying at educational institutions, vocational education institutions who are called into the national sports team, provincial, centrally-administered city sports teams, or sector sports teams for training and competition shall have their tuition fees paid by the athlete-using agency according to the provisions of the law.

  2. Athletes achieving excellent results in national or international sports competitions can be considered for exceptional graduation from lower secondary and upper secondary school if the competition time coincides with their training time abroad or participation in international sports competitions.

a) Organize supplementary cultural knowledge for high-achieving athletes after their participation in training and competition in domestic and international sports events; cover the related expenses for organizing supplementary cultural knowledge for athletes;

b) Regularly educate and disseminate information about the traditions of patriotism, national pride, and provide information on political, economic, and social situations domestically and globally, as well as inform about the sector's activities to coaches and athletes;

c) Encourage and create conditions for coaches and athletes to learn foreign languages, information technology, and participate in cultural, artistic, and social activities.
