Responsibilities of the Ministry of Transport in Disaster Forecasting, Warning, and Communication

According to the provisions in Clause 5, Article 34, Decision 03/2020/QD-TTg regarding the responsibilities of the Ministry of Transport in forecasting, warning, and disseminating information about natural disasters, as follows:

- Direct the Vietnam Maritime Communication and Electronics Company Limited to broadcast natural disaster forecasts and warnings on the communication channels of the Vietnam Coastal Information System as stipulated; improve broadcast quality and extend the coverage area of information transmission at sea and to islands far from the mainland.

Additionally, in Clause 6, Article 34, Decision 03/2020/QD-TTg also stipulates the responsibilities of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in forecasting, warning, and disseminating information about natural disasters, as follows:

- Direct organizations and individuals managing hydropower reservoirs within the management scope of the Ministry to comply with the regulations on providing information about reservoirs stipulated in Article 37 of this Decision.
