Plan for Responding to Incidents with Facilities Registering Atomic Energy Support Services

Section IV, Part II, Appendix II Requirements for Ensuring Security for Radioactive Sources and Transporting Nuclear Materials issued with Decree 142/2020/ND-CP stipulates the plan for responding to incidents with facilities registering atomic energy support services as follows:

  1. Legal basis, organizational chart for incident response at the facility; responsibilities of organizations and individuals involved, and resources for incident response.

  2. Description of the type of atomic energy support services of the facility; risk analysis and identification of potential incident scenarios and consequences when providing services.

  3. Incident response scenarios for each situation described in Section 2 of this clause.

  4. Final incident report: Recipients, submission time, content of the report (incident response activities, remedial measures taken, human consequences, environmental impacts, radiation dose assessment, conclusions, and recommendations).

  5. Training, drills, and updating of the incident response plan.
